6 Speed Primary Offset Kit
These are our newly developed primary offset kits for 6 speed models. Because Harley® once again changed the design from the previous models we also needed to produce something new. Following a quick analysis of the 6 speed transmission we were horrified to discover that the mainshaft has 4 gearwheels formed into it. So a longer shaft would be very hard to produce. The crankshaft has also been changed. So new kits have been developed.
13 mm:The main component is the 6 speed offset pulley. In this pulley the new teeth are painstakingly machined into it. This kit allows you to re-position the primary case by 13 mm outwards without having to open up the gearbox. That saves both time & gives enough space to enable the fitting of a 210 tire for example.
22 mm:
Our 22 mm primary offset kit goes even further by using a 20 mm wide belt. This is an original Softail® part, so you don’t have to worry about it’s reliability. That also gives 9 mm more clearance & therefore room for a 260 profile tire.
55 mm & 63 mm:
As you can see from the photo this is the most comprehensive kit in our 6 speed selection. But those who want to implant a 300 or 330 tire in their bike need plenty of space. This kit provides 55 mm (up to 2011) or 63 mm offset (2012 on). This is made possible by the newly developed & patented Offset Clutch Hub. This means that the clutch is mounted on the gearshaft, so it doesn’t have to be changed. The offset gearbox pulley also runs on a bearing mounted in a support plate to cope with the highest engine power outputs.
