Fat Bob Models up to 2011
Here we have our Primary Offset Kits for 6 Speed models.
After examining the new 6 Speed transmission, I was shocked to discover that the mainshaft incorporated 4 gearwheels, in one piece. This meant that a whole new kit had to be developed. Here are the results:
13mm:
A specially cut & hardened gear wheel is included in our advanced kit for fitting to the new compensator sprocket assembly. This enables sufficient room to centrally mount a wide tire up to 240 in width.
And … the bonus is that the gearbox doesn't have to be opened up to fit this kit.
22mm:
With our 22mm Primary Offset Kit "Bigger for Bob" we go even further. By the use of a 20mm slim belt as fitted to the Softail, so there are no reliability issues. This provides 9mm of extra space and therefore enough for a 9" wide wheel. Again without having to open up the gearbox. Because the belt is longer this kit will only fit in combination with our "Bigger Swing" swing arm.
55mm:
This is the most comprehensive of our 6 Speed kits. But if you want to implant a 300 tire into your bike you need to make room for it. This kit provides 55mm offset. This is made possible by a newly designed and patented Offset Clutch Hub. The clutch is relocated on the main shaft so it can be retained. The offset gearbox pulley runs on bearings mounted to a support plate allowing for the highest power engines to be used. And … the the gearbox doesn't have to be opened up to fit this kit.
