From 883cc to 1200cc up to 2003

In this case we use special pistons. They are slightly heavier than the 883 ones but have the same balance properties of 50-60%. Balance?? Without going into too much technical detail the pistons are matched by weight to the crankshaft. This is to eliminate any excessive vibrations. The special pistons are perfect in this respect. Since 1999 Harley® has fitted the same crankshaft for both engine sizes. The heads do not require any modification with this kit.
The kit comprises: A special piston kit with piston rings, cylinders bored & honed, head, base and top-end gaskets. Compression ratio is 9.5:1
